Fiesta In Blue

Last week Little Texas’ Dwayne O’Brien was invited to perform with the United States Air Force’s “Band of the West” at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.  Major Dean Zarmbinski invited O’Brien to perform his composition “We Remember”, a song that he had written to honor military aviation.  The event, Fiesta in Blue, coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Air Force becoming an independent branch of the U.S. military.  While there O’Brien, himself an aerobatic pilot, flew in the T6 Texas II with the 559th Flight Training Squadron at nearby Randolph Air Force Base.  Afterward O’Brien received a note from Major Zarmbinski expressing thanks “for your wonderful music and for what you have done to support the men and women of your U.S. Air Force.”
