Allen Butler Announces More Staff Members for Montage Music Group
Nashville, TN – Allen Butler, President and CEO of Montage Music Nashville announced more additions to his staff today. “The professional talent that we are assembling here at Montage will compete with the best in the industry. I look forward to working with this staff of industry veterans,” comments Butler.
Elizabeth “Liz” Sledge - Radio Marketing Team Member ( National Secondary Radio Marketing Team Member / Coordinator)
Sledge first started in the industry in 1999 working with Falcon Goodman Management where she contributed to the careers of Travis Tritt and Michael Peterson. She then moved on to do freelance television production, working on such productions as the CMA Awards, The Dove Awards and the Opry’s 75th Anniversary show. In 2002 she joined the Columbia Records promotion department and served as Promotion Coordinator where she worked with artists such as: Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry and Buddy Jewel until February of 2005 when she was hired as Northeast Regional Promotion Manager for Epic Records. During her stint at Epic she promoted records by Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson, Jace Everett, Susan Haynes and Jon Randall. She joins the Montage Music Nashville staff as Radio Marketing Team Member serving as coordinator and focusing on the national secondary radio outlets.
Ted Wagner – Radio Marketing Team Member (Southeast Region)
Wagner is a graduate of MTSU Recording Management program. He first started working in the industry at RCA in 1983 in the mailroom and also worked as assistant to Jack Weston, VP of Promotion for RCA. In 1988 Wagner began working secondary promotion for the label and became the Southeast Regional Manager in 1990 and was subsequently promoted to Mid-Atlantic Director from 1993-1996. In 1996 Wagner joined Columbia Records as the National Director of Promotion where he was instrumental in bringing Travis Tritt back to the top of the charts with # 1 singles and also helped launch the superstar duo Montgomery Gentry until 2003. After a one year sabbatical Wagner accepted a position with Equity Records as Southwest Regional Manager for six months before returning to RCA Records as Director of Regional Promotion. He joins Montage Music Nashville as Radio Marketing Team Member focusing on the Southeast Region.
